Have your volunteers been hard at work tour guiding, accessioning collections, serving on your board or undertaking other tasks? We’d love to feature them on our website and social media!
Calling all Scottish heritage organisations – we’re looking for wee videos or blogs about your volunteers!
These videos and blogs will feature on our website and social media, and answer 3 short questions:
- What is your volunteer role?
- What is your favourite part of volunteering?
- How has volunteering impacted your life?
This is a great chance to feature and reward your volunteers for their amazing work! Sharing volunteers’ perspectives is also a key way that we can encourage new people to volunteer with heritage organisations. It gives those curious about heritage volunteering a sense of the breadth and type of roles available, and the reasons to volunteer.
If you’re interested in contributing a short video (2 minutes) or blog (200 words) about one of your volunteers, please drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll be happy to chat about it further with you!
The Make Your Mark campaign aims to increase the number and diversity of Scottish heritage volunteers. Organisations can join the campaign for free by filling out this short online form. Joining the campaign will subscribe you to a monthly e-newsletter with top tips for heritage volunteer organisers and give you access to a volunteer portal to advertise your volunteering opportunities.
