Join us for a free inclusive volunteering workshop that reviews key learnings from our Inclusive Volunteering Toolkit, made possible by the Scottish Government and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

At this event, participants will learn how to:

• Explain the benefits of and business case for inclusive volunteering
• Identify barriers to and enablers for volunteering
• Adapt volunteer roles to suit a wider range of people

Living and working in a rural area offers so many exiting prospects to develop unique and fulfilling volunteer roles, but it isn’t without its challenges.

Hear from Jess Wise, Discovery and Learning Programme Manager at RZSS' Highland Wildlife Park, about how they're developing a new and improved volunteer programme in the heart of the Cairngorms. She will share their successes as well as lessons learnt.

Are you wanting a space to share a successful volunteering activity or do you have a situation with your volunteers with which you’d like some support?

Join members of the Volunteer Organisers Network at our regular open forum to hear from peers at heritage organisations across Scotland and seek advice from other attendees on the volunteering topics you’d like to raise.

Join us to discuss how to support a range of volunteers with varying abilities and needs. There will be a combination of informative talks, interactive workshops and panel discussions that cover inclusive group volunteering for people with support needs, lived experiences of a diverse range of volunteers, how to fund inclusive volunteer programmes, supporting older volunteers who have to stop volunteering due to age-related reasons and more!
