Location and travel
We’ve chosen The Engine Shed because it has good transport links. Please use public transport, walking, cycling or wheeling to get to venue if you can. If you’re travelling from outwith the Central Belt or public transport is not an option for you, perhaps consider car sharing with colleagues or other organisations from your local area.
By train
Stirling train station is 150m from the Engine Shed. Step-free access to the bridge that crosses the railway tracks is provided by a lift at either end. The route to the Engine Shed is then about 150m long on level pavements with dropped kerb crossings.
By bus
Stirling bus station is 260m from the Engine Shed, on the other side of the railway tracks. Access is via a bridge that has a lift at either end. The route to the Engine Shed is then about 150m long on level pavements with dropped kerb crossings.
By bicycle
Bike racks can also be found nearby, at:
By car
There is no guest parking at the Engine Shed.
For blue badge holders, there are two accessible spaces facing the Engine Shed's entrance. These spaces are 55m to the main door and are located on Forthside Way, which runs parallel to the railway line. This parking bay does not belong to HES or the Engine Shed so it cannot be guaranteed that a space will be available on the day. If this is the case, one of the loading bay spaces directly outside the Engine Shed can be made available, also marked on the outside plan.
Forthside Car Park on Forthside Way is just 350m away, with access along tarmac paths with some raised kerbs. It costs £4 for a full day if paying at the machine and £4.40 if paying via the RingGo app. It has more than 20 accessible parking bays. It has electric charging points.
A Park and Ride service, run by Stirling Council, stops near the Engine Shed.
