Could your organisation host a supported volunteering experience?

Make Your Mark is looking for organisations working with Scotland's history, culture and nature to support a new skills development programme in partnership with Keep Scotland Beautiful and Access to Industry. The programme will support people who face barriers to employment to develop skills through structured learning and supported volunteering. Learning modules are expected to finish in December 2026, with participants ready to begin volunteering from January 2027.

We would like to hear from organisations that can offer a welcoming and inclusive volunteering experience. Participants have expressed interest in a range of activities, including: Archaeology, environmental conversation, digital and communications, archives, libraries and collections, research, and visitor engagement.

A volunteering experience will support participants to put their learning into practice, develop new skills and confidence, learn more about different roles and organisations and contribute to the care and sharing of Scotland's places, collections and stories.

Make Your Mark will support interested organisations and offer guidance and practical support to help create an inclusive volunteering experience.

If you would like to find out more contact the Make Your Mark Campaign Coordinator, Louise Walker - hello@makeyourmark.scot.
