New volunteer portal launched

The new Make Your Mark volunteer portal is both a volunteer recruitment and management tool that you can use to:

• Advertise opportunities
• Communicate with volunteers
• Recognise volunteers for their contributions
• Report on the success of your programme

The portal gives you access to a large number of potential volunteers, and will automatically share your opportunities with Volunteer Scotland’s website.

The portal is totally free to use – the only condition is for organisations to sign up to Make Your Mark by filling out this short form! Make Your Mark is a campaign that aims to increase the number and diversity of heritage volunteers in Scotland, and joining the campaign will not only give you access to the portal, but also subscribe you to a monthly e-newsletter with top tips for heritage volunteer organisers.

If you don’t have any opportunities just yet, you can still create a profile and add a note for volunteers to express interest for future opportunities. This will enable you to build a volunteer base for when opportunities do arise.
