Network

Joining Make Your Mark gives you access to a peer-to-peer volunteer organisers network.

The Volunteer Organisers Network, formerly known as HVOS (Heritage Volunteer Organisers Scotland), is part of the Make Your Mark Campaign. Their role is to provide peer-to-peer support to anyone who works with volunteers, with a focus on ensuring that volunteers contributing to the heritage sector represent the diversity of Scotland’s population.

They support volunteer organisers by:

  • Organising a programme of network events, including short talks about case studies, Q&As and volunteer management training – keep an eye on the events page to see what’s on!
  • Curating a regular newsletter with good practice and new ideas of inclusive volunteer management – join Make Your Mark to subscribe!
  • Promoting the Make Your Mark values of Place, Community, Heritage and Inclusivity
